Re: Please recommend a new Windows PC (desktop)

I'm starting to spec out a Ryzen (probably 7) build. This will be my first PC build in about 10yrs.
Crazy performance for moderate cost these days!!

I know there's millions of threads, but any tips/comments welcome :)

Re: MOTU Ultralite [mk4/AVB] vs. Presonus 1824c with eurorack

So I ended up using the un-assignable outputs (1&2) on the 1824c for their intended purpose: a crappy speaker to test mixes on.
Works a treat!

Re: MOTU Ultralite [mk4/AVB] vs. Presonus 1824c with eurorack

I ended up with the presonus 1824c, and yes this is correct. Outputs 1&2 are a direct mirror of the main outputs. I assumed you would simply be able to re-route this in the control software, but you cannot. So you essentially get 6 assignable outputs. Not too big a deal for me. I guess I need to get...

I'm also looking into these 2 interfaces. Leaning towards MOTU, but it seems weird that there aren't any around. Still seems to be heaps of the mk3 around. I would love to hear any comments on general performance between the 2 units.

Re: Classic software lost to the ether of new computing

I also plan to install Audiomulch, VAZ Modular and VAZ+. Both Mulch and VAZ Mod were first released in 1998 and stopped being updated years ago. The VAZ website is gone. I was running VAZ in win7 maybe 2 years ago now. LOVED IT! Got some amazing sounds out of it. The granular oscillators are great!...

Feeding a send or subgroup output into the 505 is indeed WIN! I'm currently doing this with Korg Wavedrum with no problems. It's super fun and a great way to improve your drumming. I assume you have a footswitch for the 505? It also helps to have PFL on your mixer so you can preview your playing thr...

Platform Stereo Compressor - love it! strapped to my volca case. drive section sounds good and is a useful addition. swell function can be fun. capable of smashing. Ravish Sitar - can be a bit of a struggle. would be amazing if you were a great guitar player (unlike me). adds a nice unique pad voice...

I don't like to be 'that guy' but could you please make your own thread for tutorials Spyart?

I appreciate your content and effort but it seems possible that you could make HUNDREDS of these videos.

If I'm over reacting here and everyone else is cool with it - my apologies!

Yeah the elta ring stinger was on my list. :miley: But not sure I can justify the size... Although I may reconsider as I have a fair bit of CV going on with my other pedals, and the connectivity of the ring stinger would be welcome! Is the pigtronix ringmaster just the ring mod cut out of the mother...

EHX ring thing is a little too big. Can you verify that it only does the auto-tune thing per note when you hold down the footswitch? The pigtronix appears to always auto-tune the carrier to the input (unless I'm mistaken?). The pigtronix also appears to be the only other ring mod pedal which approac...
