Re: Current status of US Customs fees?
Thanks for the info everyone. I totally agree it's a slap in the face. It's really discouraging that this kind of commerce between our countries has to have this chilling effect.

Current status of US Customs fees?
Merry Xmas All!
Can anyone in the States who's bought modules from Canada recently tell me what their experience with customs was like? I don't mind delays (especially due to covid disruptions) but I had a bad experience in the past with outrageously high fees.

Re: ES-9 Noob questions
Thanks a ton for the quick reply Andrew! Your support of ES products goes a LONG way with consumer confidence as far as I'm concerned! I am on a Windows 7 computer unfortunately . . . though the drivers for my current interface (UA Apollo) are already ASIO if that makes a difference. Do you foresee ...

ES-9 Noob questions
Hey Wigglers, I just recently learned about the ES-9 and am enthusiastic about possibly getting one. (My hardware modular has been totally independent from software so far.) I've read the user manual but am still unclear about a few things: 1. The ES-9 can simultaneously run alongside my current aud...

AD converter quality in Expert Sleepers ES-9?
Hey All, I'm looking at jumping in with Expert Sleepers for an all-in-one audio/CV computer interface. How is the quality of the AD converters in the ES-9? I know what the specs are on paper, just wondering how they sound compared to a higher end converter like Universal Audio Apollo or Lavry? Cheer...

Re: Disting mk3 Help!
Hi, I have a Disting Mk3 and am experiencing the same problem as described above. My module worked great for a few years and suddenly now when I push the S knob there's only LED option 1 or 3 available in the first menu. I update the firmware several months ago and there's currently no SD card insta...

Re: Calibrate Plaits?
Thanks for the good suggestions everyone! I think I got it figured out. Ornament & Crime Reference mode worked like a charm once I guessed that note C0 outputs 1volt CV. I was previously using note A1 = 1volt based on Wikipedia's entry for control voltage 'standards'. But that didn't seem right afte...

Calibrate Plaits?
Hey, I'm needing to calibrate Plaits. It wants to see 1volt and 3volts during the process. Has anyone here tried using the utility mode in Ornament and Crime for this? I've read the O_C manual but it doesn't make much sense to me as to how to output reference voltages. Also open to any other ideas ....

Gamechanger synth? What the shiz!
Is the company Gamechanger genuinely living up to it's name? Kudos to them for being innovative, regardless.

I've been on this same mission for years too . . . I love that lush chorus appeal. I landed on the Visual Sound H2O pedal in the analog realm but then got the Neunaber Inspire Tri Chorus pedal. And it is truly a wonderful thing. It doesn't smear the dry signal the way many choruses can, so the tone ...

Problems downloading GRM Tools?
Hey All, Rant warning: I purchased a GRM Tools bundle a week ago. I've tried unsuccessfully every day since then to download the product. The download begins and progresses at a staggeringly slow pace for 20 minutes and then fails. I contacted GRM Tools via their facebook page (the only online conta...

1) has it felt limited relative to its price tag and size given that it's still just a monosynth? Not limited at all. Very deep synth. 2) are the modulation options in the matrix truly compelling and various, or does it feel gimmicky? The mod matrix is fantastic and four destinations are assignable...

How does Erbe Verb compare to Big Sky?
I'm quite fond of my Strymon Big Sky pedal but have heard a lot of love for the Erbe Verb module. Other than being different formats and having different feature sets, how do they compare sonically?

Does Paypal charge extra to send $ from US to Canada?
For some reason Paypal charged an extra 3% on a module I just bought from a Canadian Wiggler even though I specified Friends & Family. I'm in the US. The form also 'converted' my $100USD into $100USD (no typo). Has anyone here encountered this before? Unfortunately I haven't been doing international...

Why haven't multi function modules made the rest obsolete?
I'm thinking of modules like Pamela's New Workout, Ornament and Crime, Disting, that have apparently exponentially more functionality than their dedicated single function equivalents . . . and yet are not exponentially priced. Why is it that they haven't taken over the market? Do they perform each o...

Are DIY modules typically buggy?
Hi,
I'm specifically wondering about Braids DIY builds but also curious about how others measure up too. It goes without saying that the complexity of the module and the experience of the builder are big factors. Not having tried any I'm skeptical of the reliability but lured by the cost savings.
