Retail on the last run of TVP was 3299USD. Fingers crossed this is the same...
I think this will finally bring the price down for second hand New SEMs, ranging from 2K to 3K on Reverb ... well at least until the final batch runs out

Re: Erica Synths DB-01 tutorial - part 1

I have one and love it... it could seems expensive when you compared it with other analog monos in the sub-500 range but the construction, sound and sequencer really worth the price I asked Erica to add some features: 1. pattern notes shift L/R, a must in my workflow, I really need this 2. In the LF...

Re: Tom Oberheim Site Updated

oooooooh I have an original TVS but I have always wanted to compare to a new one.... never seen one of the reissues but folks I think highly of said it was proper quality. I have the new SEM and it´s more "modern" sounding than the original, with a more precise and defined tone and a bit less bassy...

And I discovered that I just saved like 15 patches in 6 years its not about how many patches you make but what you do with the ones you do make. unless your goal is to make patches... :hyper: hahaha! indeed! by that I meant that I never saved the majority of the patches I did ... my workplace is in...

Re: Moog Subsequent 37

38E61FBD-5735-48A7-ADC8-05748FB6AB1C.jpeg congrats! I was about to sell my Sub-37 and buy a Matriarch, but I´m not 100% sure of this The build quality of the 37 feels more solid than the Matriarch´s plastic case, that it´s not bad but you can´t beat metal and wood synth cases. And I discovered that...

Re: Moog Subsequent 37

honestly all what the official literature said about the differences between the sub-37 and the subsequent is subtle in practice...I had both side by side, and compared a lot of the same patches (by programming it in panel mode) and I could managed to do the same in both synth with little or no dif...

Re: Sequential Pro 3

Some of you may already have heard this but I did a demo of the Pro-3 where I tried to recreate some of the early songs by Yazoo, mostly from Upstairs at Eric's. I used the Pro-3 as the only sound source and only it's internal effect, no other processing. I think this demo shows that the Pro-3 can ...

Re: Korg SQ-1

No, it doesn't send Sysex or CC's from the knobs. Your best bet to control the Alpha Juno is to get a used Novation Zero Mk1 or 2, it comes with a sysex template for the Alpha Juno from the factory. mine doesn´t... I had to program it from scratch using good-old sysex strings... not the ...

Re: Second SQ-1 - why do I feel slightly embarrassed?

2 of them expand significatively the sequencing power, since you can do very interesting stuff with them like using the gate out of one to drive the clock of the other, and of course multiply CV/gate lanes I also like to use them as voltage memory manual controllers, sending the knobs´ CV values man...

Re: UDO vs Juno 160 for $$$?

Same story here. Once I got the Jupiter 6, it made me realize how meh the 106 is. In fact, I would argue the JX3p is better than the 106 hands down. JX-3P, JX-8P, and the JX-10 are all better IMO. they’re often overlooked because of the data slider / membrane programming if you don’t have their pro...

Re: Norand Mono

Just got mine and have only had an hour or so on it so far. Not that impressed with the construction and it'd have to be handled carefully on the road. The knobs are not very grippy, have some play in them and if you push them in the wrong direction some of them can scrape on the front panel housin...

Re: UDO vs Juno 160 for $$$?

Title says it all- For guys who have played/owned both, which would you advise spending your hard earned cash on? I'm not suggesting the UDO is directly a Juno clone/competitor in any way BTW, just noticing the prices are very similar... With the Juno 160 actually costing less, and definitely being...

Re: Baloran The Pool

All of those mod destinations - four filters, plus all of the mod sources for the four oscs - and only three LFOs. Doesn't seem like a good ratio to me. This kind of shortcoming seems to plague a lot of synths in recent years. well, you have 4 envelopes too, and maybe they are loopable...there is a...

Just wish moog would made a rack version of the matriarch.not everyone who uses synths needs a (or another)keyboard.
I would agree, but the times I bought a synth without a keyboard I ended up missing the immediate approach of turning it on and play a key while tweaking the knobs

Re: Moog Matriarch Announced

Hi everybody, Would you buy a Matriarch instead of a Voyager nowadays? I have asked many people and most of them tell me that they are different instruments and I should have both etc.. I generally agree, but at this point I can only buy one of them and I'm torn between these two synths, regarding ...

Re: U.D.O. Super 6 hybrid "binaural" poly

New firmware is out. :) • Faster Amplitude envelope attack times. An extra 15% of travel has been added at the bottom range of the ENV2 ATTACK slider reducing minimum ENV2 attack times without affecting stored patches • Waveforms pack 2 can be stored on the synth alongside "waveforms" • Super rando...

I thought about some 2500 modules but am not sure that they wouldn't be redundant in sound to the 2600? Personally, and there's fortunately no great rush to do this, I'm thinking of the following: I have a 12U desktop rack/stand, and a TipTop Happy Ending Eurorack with power supply. What I'm thinking of doing is getting a Gray Meanie and then 84 hp of BArp 2500 modules. The focus of the 2500 modules ...
