Re: HERTZ DONUT MARK III - shipping now!

So when I press Fold Select to cycle through those 3, should I see a different slider react to the incoming CV? Only the first one is moving, even though the display changes to point to each of those 3 sliders. No, you should see a different slider react to the FOLD knob. The CV destination can be ...

Re: The Pickit Thread: Updating Firmware & Burning ROMs

I use a PicKit 3 and usually update from MacOS (el cap). I also have a virtual machine installed with a recent windows copy and use that in case I get too frustrated and don't understand why it would not work. But to be honest, I am not sure if switching to microsoft really does it then, or why it w...

Re: Stillson Hammer MK II Slider LED Replacement

They are discontinued and a new version seems to be in development. But you can find them used for reasonable prices. I just bought one via Modulargrid, where one is still listed (UK though) and another one has been offered for sale last week. I am not sure, but to me it seems Modulargrid is more a ...

I wonder if the pitch antenna should be fix for stability reasons but for that price it seems to be good entry option. Nice retro look.

Re: Spring Reverb Comparison 2020

I have the NLC Big Room and like it a lot. The Music Thing not so much, especiallly not with the brick and the expander. Alos had the Springray some years ago but found that I did not use extra features that much. I am mostly fine when it justs reverbs and sounds like a spring. Feedback is not neede...

Re: KODAMO EssenceFM - 300 Voice 16 Part Multitimbral FM Rack

I wonder how the people who have one do experience working with it, especially ergonomics and haptic feeling? It is a rack device but in most videos I have found it stands up tilted, somehow balancing on a keyboard or table. To me it sounds great and I think I like the workflow with the display. I a...

Sometimes I use the same envelope that going to the VCA for the filter or a waveshaper or another VCA for FM or LFO amount. What would you gain saving one jack?

Yeah, probably a good time to set up and auto-responder or a message on the website. Auto-responder is probably best with a simple, "Hey, thanks for the email and/or order. The world is complete shit right now, like total chaos, but I'm still plugging away. Will get back to you ASAP and let you kno...

My spontaneous reaction now was that negative should be blue then - you know, like with temperature... :hmm: Actually blue stars (or any black-body type radiation things) are the hottest, and red is cooler... :coffee-cheers: All 6 in 1, 0.5*(bakers dozen - 1) in the other I guess though... Re: DLF and MOSPhaser success...

The red/green thing is something I struggled with for a while. If you think in terms of traffic lights and stop/go you tend towards the idea that red is slowing and green accelerating. But red is also universally used to represent positive voltages. Argh... In the end the engineer in me won out and...

I think I usually solder one of the pins of the pot brackets with post and bracket placed on the PCB and then screw the pots to the panel, get it in a nice angel and solder the rest of the pins. Wait, or do I start by solderin one pin of the pots? Anyway, yes fixing them to the panel before doing th...

Re: Something New from Doc Sketchy

Hey Team, I'm thinking about a modification to the Frequency Shifter module. This new one would not have an onboard oscillator on it, but would instead be driven from an external VCO. This would lower the cost of the shifter significantly. Is there any interest in this new concept? I'll try to thro...

Lighted button replacement

I just got a new used Malgorithm MKII in the post - unfortunately one of its push buttons seems to be a little, err, broken. Does anyone have helpful information (like manufacturer or mouser part number) about what I would have to order to replace it? :waah:

Re: Sequentix Cirklon - what make it so desirable?

With regards to functionality of the Latronic Notron that is lacking in the Cirklon - supersteps is definitely a unique feature that is missing. For those who haven't been lucky enough to have spent time with a Notron sequencer (I think less than 200 were made?) it's a function which allows the use...

Re: Sequentix Cirklon - what make it so desirable?

To me the most fascinating feature, apart from all the quality and quantity related points above, is how tracks can be internally routed to influence other tracks and how then even the amount of that influence can be influenced again by yet another track. Or several of them. And how this can affect ...

I find their support to be very good, uncomplicated and also generous in cases they did not had to for many years now.
