Really stupid question... Perhaps I need new glasses... I wanted to update my Eloquencer as I've never done it before. The github text says to plug in a USB cable on th e left side under the Eloquencer logo... Ummmm.... Where is it??? I cannot see it! Do I need to remove the module from my case? Ca...

Thanks so much for the response! I do have the Doepfer ratcheting controller. Here is one of my systems: https://www.modulargrid.net/e/racks/view/501775 I have read the manual a few times and to be honest I find the descriptions confusing! Perhaps it is the way my brain doesn't work! Soon as I see a...

i have had the oberkorn 3 and also 2x 155/154 combos. At the same time. i would reccomend the doepfer 155/154 combo but remember to toss in a a doepfer 150 so you can make your sequences 16 steps. also no sequencer i have used in euro has the cv like the bottom row of the 155 does. it offers tons o...

Re: "Electronic Music" fence line

Hip-hop, which depends very much on drum machines and samplers, where "producers" are musicians rather than a sort of recording supervisor, is electronic music. No, it isn't. Hip-hop depends on vocals. Rap started with MC's. Or toasters boasting selectors who didn't have anything more electronic th...

Arturia MicroBrute 2S and the Moog M32 case (not the synth!). Add a few modules of your choice. But honestly modular is inherently expensive, even if buying used. I would say stick to semi-modular to start with. You will be much more satisfied. Save your pennies. DIY is not an option for people who ...

Nice to see some sensible conversation and discussion rather than the usual Love/Hate stuff...Please continue this way! I think the best way forwards for them would be an inexpensive Keyboard controller like the KB37 (perhaps offered in larger sizes) which could house 1 to 3 of their synths like the...

WOoo boy, roughly $100 more than any other sequencer out there. So do you get $100 more of sequencer? I was looking at some of the competition and it does seem like you get it all with this sequencer. And if you need that extra little bit then you can sell off a sequencer to make space for this one...

is this based on the nava/yocto sequencer? if so i have a nava and yocto and tbh they are pretty buggy (even with the latest firmware each). did erica synth work on the software on their onwn and make it more stable? also i really dont get the price point. a nava full analog drummachine costs me ar...

my one Question about the Carbon, is Is it easier to just compose everything in Cmaj and then transpose and scale to whatever you want? I always wonder, if I am wasting my time writing sequences in Gm, when I can just plonk on the white keys and set the track to harmonic minor and transpose up or d...

Is here any firmware changes that would allow it to remain on the last sound used on power-up?

I hate when I have the 2 perfect sounds and then I lose them/forget where they were with powerdown, especially if playing live the next day!!!

To those of you who feel the LEDs are worse than the display. I'm a bit surprised you'd call the 4 LEDs on Clouds cryptic, I mean, once you know what they do (and that usually takes just 5 minutes of playing around with the module= it's pretty easy to associate each with their function. After all i...

It's a wonderful thing to get into but certainly NOT cheap. I would say don't get any drum or effects modules to start with at all. Bases better covered by drum machines and pedals to start with. In Canadian dollars it is about $1500-2000 for a 3U 84 Hp row. (average including case, power and cables...
