Re: Re:
I've got the attenuverting offset mixer and I love it! It's ideal for mixing CV signals to create great melodies. I'm going to pick up a couple of the Dual VCA mixer/panner/xfaders and a snh-lfo as well. Awesome utility modules. Hey, can it be used to mix two pitch cvs. I'm trying that but can't ge...

Re: The modules that should exist (but don't)
I'd love a mixer with 2 channels, each with coarse and fine adjustment this could also be done with multi-turn potentiometers I guess, but probably more expensive anyway I'll look into this, sounds like a good idea A multi-turn pot would be cool! Also I know Happy Nerding has these dual concentric ...

Re: The modules that should exist (but don't)
Often I find myself trying to sequence with LFOs and a mixer into a quantizer. What I've noticed is that most attenuators are too coarse to wiggle a note or two reliably. I'd love a mixer with 2 channels, each with coarse and fine adjustment, and a final offset stage also with a fine adjustment. I d...

Re: Module gate lenght via CV
My favorite out of production module for this would be the SSF Propagate.
4 channels of trigger delay and length controllable via CV.
A mix out as well.
Nothing like it exists as a single unit afaik. A slew/envelope into a comparator would be a good way to perform the same duty.

This looks like a nice LFO! I've recently seen them for sale on Reverb and hadn't heard about Nakedboards until now.
Lots of waveforms and the intermodulation abilities, along with Level CV inputs make this module seem very fun!

Ryk. Two things. Thanks for the help with the firmware chip. It arrived just in time for Christmas. Perhaps a tribute video is in order. Admittedly I haven't calibrated mine yet.. :D Secondly check out this cool user created Ryk M185 inspired sequencer built with The Monome family of gear. https://l...

I'm really curious why there's so little talk of these cloned modules. Am I to believe everyone has a "hate the man" policy?
I'm considering getting a 1 of the four basic modules. No real demos online yet.

Re: How to set specific mod range?
Well, a few years back most modules had built in attenuators or [/quote] I’ve been using almost every input on my Ochd on any patch. So that typically means 8 attenuators. I’m looking at the Levit8 or two WMD passsive attenuators, but both are out of stock everywhere. Any other inexpensive dense mo...

Re: How to set specific mod range?
I hope this beginner question isn't too basic for this forum: How would I reliably set the LFO modulation of a knob to let's say between 10 and 2:00 with a VCA? This is obviously easy in the virtual synth world, but I'm having mixed results with modular. Often you'll want to bias (offset, open) the...

Re: How to keep the sequencer in "tune" with a separate oscillator
I don't have a 5U system so I can't comment on that... I would suggest a quantizer would be helpful. The position of the knobs on the sequencer correspond to fully analog voltages and so you can either tune them very precisely for each note (and they will likely still be a little out of tune) or you...

Is it a really big book? Not sure why it would warrant a pricetag of over $50 I don't expect that it will be anything like that price. It would be if it was going to be a commercial reproduction though. When I started, I thought I'd have to pay a lot of royalties to McGraw-Hill, and they charge a f...

Haha. I guess I can just hold the space and wait for either one of the Happy Nerding ones or the Timiszoara. Looks like the Milky Way gets knocked for being noisy? Anybody have experience with the uDervish FX units? I've got a uDervish. It's like half of a TipTop zDSP. No cv over clock speed though...

Re: WMD Metron sequencer
Popped in to say how much I’m loving it. My beats are better than ever! I’d been using a combo of algorithmic (Euclidean, Branches) and preset (Grids, Zularic) but with Metron plus Volteras and Axxent, I feel like I’m at a whole nother level. Sure, I need to program the beats, but now that seems ea...

Re: Has anyone hacked Bishops Miscellay?
How can i update my Bishops Miscellany? Shakmat sells at least 2 firmwares. Those who know how to connect the chip to their computer could reprogram it. I think they're PIC based chips. I'd hack mine to play quantized cv/gates when recording. I dislike how the outputs pass through what you play whe...

Re: Chord oscillator for pad purposes
Braids with the Renaissance firmware is interesting for chords. Use the built in quantiser and you can get a sensible range of chords fitted to a scale rather than the same voicing just transposed with a root note other modules give you. THIS. My source for pads in every single patch I make. Plaits...

It's a super rad osc/lfo. And it sounds better than the Dixie II imho. Beefier. It's a bit deep for some I imagine.transistorresistor wrote: ↑Mon Jul 27, 2020 1:32 pmat 4hp, doepfer a111-3 might be worth a look, saw triangle and pulse. Re: No love for the Axoloti DSP Board?
same microcontroller as daisy but only 1MB RAM compared to 64MB. the biggest reason why the axoloti is better is that the software is fully developed. I wonder if there will be any cross pollination of the bare metal programmers from both sides helping each other. Daisy uses an external 64MB SDRAM....
