Re: Some experimental modular/digital music on lovely new release

Bandcamp are being generous again, so if you want to check out my music, please do: https://skurring.bandcamp.com Vital Weekly says in their review "Skurr creates dense clouds of sound with this material in which a lot of small explosions occur. Dark clouds but none of this static in the sky; it mov...

Me and my friend met in a semi-abandoned countryhouse halfway in Finland as the other was heading north and other south.
That was lovely! And what a great location... 🤩

Re: Some experimental modular/digital music on lovely new release

Haha, I thought that one word you used summed up your experience perfectly! :hail: 600 pages?! I think I'll stick with his music for now ... maybe some other day. Bayle is outstanding. I haven't got the box (you should get the Parmegiani box if you haven't already btw!), but I have bought enough of ...

Re: Some experimental modular/digital music on lovely new release

Bandcamp are waiving their fees again, so if you like this, even really like this, today (5. June) could be your chance to OWN the music. Lossless quality is great, no? :yay:

Re: Some experimental modular/digital music on lovely new release

Thanks for the great feedback - really, really appreciate it! Gregor Dys: Sure. My approach towards modular is that I very often use it as another sound source, that can be further manipulated. It's like another sound palette, that can then be treated and retreated, like field recordings or whatever...

Some experimental modular/digital music on lovely new release

Finally, my record is out. It's experimental in the tradition of those french avangardists I love so much (Bayle, Parmegiani, Henry et al), but at the same time not.

I'm pretty happy with it, let me know if you are:

I know this may be hard to believe, but it seems Trump said something that was wrong.

Re: MakeNoise Morphagene

Small point: I found after applying the update that the LEDs weren't coloured as described in the readme, and I thought it had failed. Seems OK though, and the level control is worth the ticket price alone. Are others seeing this LED thing? Because I don't think it's been updated ... I have...

But hasn't been available for ages, will not become available again, so an abdicated king, then. And not really relevant. ;)

And it can't be repaired ...

I have the Malekko Quad LFO on my short list, but now that no one mentions it in this thread I am getting worried! :| Anyone have any experience with it? Oh, and it will replace my Modcan Quad LFO, which died suddenly a while back. Still mourning. And no one can fix it. Makes you realize the fragili...

Has anyone used Zadar as a trigger? That is, using its various envelope peaks to trigger other sources? I was thinking I could use Maths as an envelope follower, send Zadars input to signal 1 or 4, then, somehow, make it send out a trigger pulse each time the envelope peak in Zadar was reached. Poss...

Think OP is saying that BTKS is just a personal account created by Jason from BoredBrain. Probably so he can throw Neurons in too small boxes with no padding and the company won't get dinged when people say :despair: WTF???? are you on drugs??? That's cool, but this is weird. I don't know if the "reset" input is working like I expect. I am sending it a trigger signal from Wogglebug (gate out), but the sound doesn't play back from the beginning - it just seems to "play through". Even though there is no modulation of the start point on the Nebulae, for example. Is it (in g...

I have had the Oled display fail too, XAOC office directed me to their repairs person in the US, now waiting for the screen to be replaced, I'm glad that they have appointed a person here. I'm hoping that it will not take too long to be repaired. I envy you ... my Zadar was sent from Norway to Pola...
