Any RK6 audio demos?

Looking to hear the RK6. I listened to the demo on the page: http://www.metasonix.com/index.php/rk6-resonant-lowpass-filter-new I understand it's a square wave going into the filter near the end. I'm looking to hear more of the resonance. The audio demo sounds like the filter is being overdriven too...

hey fritz, do you want a little audio plugin with a scope when this is all done? What would you like out of this whole venture?

it wasn't broken, I got girl screams: https://soundcloud.com/elanhickler/oh-my-little-chaos-generator Ian, please, all I want is little girl screams. I just... want... a digital "screaming little girl" audio plugin, that's what chaotica was made for... is that so much to ask? I know that's why you i...

Really? The overload light never came on? Very unusual. Maybe it was broken.
I think I simply never had an LED attached. So there is a clipper then?

Fritz, what happens in the analog world for exploding values?

How come my synth didn't explode when I had a Chaotica?

I never got any crazy amplitudes either.

Chaotica was at our glamour photo studio today. She showed off some of her sides. Is chaotica a she?

I have no idea how to solve ODEs. http://rosettacode.org/wiki/Euler_method This link seems to spell it out but all I'm seeing it a lot of math and code I don't know what to do with. However, I just found a digital lorenz system that seems to do what I originally intended, i.e. slow down the value ch...

I think I'm doing something fundamentally wrong. The frequencies of oscillations I'm getting are all near nyquist, as if i just need to slow down the value changes... UHH...uhh...ok... I added individual 1 pole filters on X/Y/Z outputs because I wanted to slow down the value changes, and I'm getting...

just a random thought, maybe supplying some noise into our algorithms could help, I mean, isn't it it possible that this algorithm requires a bit of noise to function? Even like random values between +0.000001 and -0.000001

oberdada, did you manage to get anything more than noise? I'm just getting exploding values, noise, and near-nyquist "stuck" oscillations.

my initial test: https://hearthis.at/soundemote/digital-chaotica-initial-test/ I couldn't get a stereo signal out... man... but I did get some familiar "little girl screaming" sounds. I mean, it was very slightly stereophonic, but I just summed to mono, wasn't worth two channels. I'm doing something...

haha oh jeez, euler method? I'm only able to use the (extensive) tools that someone else created as anything beyond simple math escapes me. Luckily those tools include oversampling and a super-steep antialiasing filter, so I can just stupidly do x16 sampling and get a very accurate simulation. Not s...

Just experimented by connecting 3 analog-style ADSRs of my own design, all modulating each other in various ways, while only 1 of them modulates the gain of a stereo nearly-DC signal. Essentially, the envelopes are riding on top of a slowly moving DC signal while also modulating it: https://hearthis...

Are there direct frequency/phase controls on each oscillator in addition to the feedback amount attenuators? Yes, usually you'd start the oscillators in tune with each other. Have you noticed particular classes of behavior between HP/LP as a bandpass and HP/LP as a notch? Yes, that is more advanced...

But if you think about it, wouldn't you still end up with a "feedback equation" I don't know, you're the expert! I just thought an arbitrary feedback equation would be more difficult to tune than a stable sine wave generator based system, but I don't know enough about classical chaos to know if tha...

Stereo effect: Chaosfly (the synth in the video) uses two chaotically interacting oscillators. I send the output of one to left channel, the output of the other to the right channel. If you're asking about specific stereo behaviors/effects such as when the stereo image seems to jump back and forth (...

Can we continue this thread as a philosophical and technical discussion of chaos? Oerdada, what do you think about chaos generated by interacting sinewave oscillators rather than a feedback equation? You say, to control chaos, one should feed a periodic signal into its parameters, but why not skip t...
