Re: Post pics of your modular/studio setup!

Early days but this happened yesterday. 3.5m X 5m (external dimensions). You can just make out the bales of Rockwall to the right. Are you blogging video logging? I’d love to see a studio build with modular specific in mind. The plan is to create a thread that shows the the end to end process from ...

Some fun on vocals with the Frequency Shifter Up-Down algorithm.

Excellent, very reminiscent of Front 242.

Re: What room treatment are you using?

Thank you nuromantix Double wall as I have a railway line 20 metres behind the garden so to reduce that sound coming in. On reflection of your comments, airflow could be an interesting issue. I recently watched a video where the guy build a baffled box for the in and out takes for his ventilation fa...

Re: What room treatment are you using?

As mentioned I am planning on a 3.5 X 5 m garden room and have discussed having double walls with the builder. Obviously it will eat into the room size but he said he could increase one of the lengths by 0.5m at no extra cost. A 4 X 5 room is getting close to a square floor plan so would I be best g...

Re: What room treatment are you using?

If you're building a garden room then it's worth looking at a table of ideal room ratios so you can make the dimensions work well for you. If the dimensions are OK then it really helps. The rest is really a case of following the guidelines and using trial and error along with measurements. You can ...

Re: What room treatment are you using?

I have become very interested in this topic as I have plans to move out of my 2.6 X 2.9 metre box room to a purpose built garden room that will be close to 3.5 X 5 metres. I had previously watched that Bobby Owsinski video and subsequently bought his book, which is effectively that workshop in text ...

Love my ZDSP with Valhalla, also highly recommend FX Aid from Happy Nerding if you want Blue Sky type reverbs. It’s superb value for money and offers a hell of a lot more than reverb

Also worth mentioning that there are couple of guys who make custom replacement faceplate overlays for Neutron and other synths so possible to commission an overlay that would be easier for you to use?

Never heard of Space Art, but on the back of the videos picked up their double greatest hits and although a tad dated at times (not a bad thing) really good stuff. Peake, I get your comment on the “disco” but the vocoder stuff for me is more Herby Hancock Sunshine era, maybe they used a Senheiser vo...
