Re: "Best" Banana Color Scheme for New Format?

The Buchla scheme is ingrained in my head and makes sense.

If you want to do audio over banana, then just choose something complementary. Batchas also suggested something logical.

Re: is the mad flutist now a serious environmentalist

I was the only person I knew that liked Tull when I was growing up. Even my older brother, a man of good taste, called them "That boring medieval band shit?" but could listen to Zeppelin's lyrics without irony.

Re: Why is everyone in love with the Strymon BigSky?

Cortini used it and it is compact. Certainly more forgiving of neglect and abuse than a Lexicon rack.

Re: electronotes/musical engineer's handbook/pcc pdfs

Okay, I've now read from page 2 forward. Nothing really happens until page 4. It is my opinion and judgement that nothing got so far out of hand that mature adults couldn't negotiate it themselves. Calling for a shut down of the discussion was premature and Lemmy's call for moderation was unwarrante...

Does nobody moderate this swamp? NOBODY reads every thread, not even you, Mr. Righteousness. Just do what you did and report it. There are hundreds of posts per day. Nobody is reading them all. There is a reason for the report function. :sstorm: And now; I'll go about reading all of this for context.

Re: Something a bit Icelandic...

I finally had a chance to listen to this in full with some quiet around the joint. Firstly, excellent. It is refreshing to hear something with a sense of direction and some messaging. Sure beats yet another 'study, pompously named "étude", or exploration'. The recording quality is also up to par and...

Re: Alternate Front Panels: Get Permission?

It seems overly cautious. Even if you were making them for sale, asking permission, although respectful, simply invites a 'no' that probably isn't warranted. Nobody cares which color you paint your car...

Re: Ahhh... P Bass or J Bass.

Tough choice. Given that you already have a single pickup bass, might want either: to stay the same (P) go for a neck p'up (J) The tone of a standard Stingray (I don't now much about the "Sub". Same p'ups or no?) is easier to make more nasally like a J. The P covers most rock uses but the J obviousl...

Re: Tube module DIY

Bravo! I've listened to all of the files more than once. I think that this sounds lovely and it appears to be rather useable with more than one shade of alteration to the core tone.
I'd love to see this in a Buchla ModuleModule format or a DIY Eurorack thing.

Bravo and well done!

Re: Patching Between Cases

Graham's retort is so extreme (from tier 3 to tier 11 vitriol) in such a short amount of time, I can only find the exchange to be humorous. Would I tell you that you have a prickly character to your face? Yes, I would. It's not an insult. Also, real life isn't online life and the norms differ. You s...

Re: Patching Between Cases

Gents, perhaps a touch less heat. It seems that the forum is working in that the users are discussing the rules of honorable engagement. Thorsday, there is no need to throw out ‘beta’. That just a lazy cliché that only frames you poorly. Graham has always been prickly. He chooses to portray himself ...
