Re: Favorite Smoothed Random

I like the erica DIY wogglebug/swamp's smooth and woggle CV Outputs. Two different but related smooth randoms with a good amount of control over their speed, range, and "cluster" with external clock and CV over internal clock

I saw a used QMMG on reverb for $2000 and it did sell very fast.
Wow thats absurd .. i sold mine for 700 a few weeks ago, and even that I think is too much for what it does.

So if we pre-ordered after the KS, expect a couple months it sounds like. Ok, i'll try to forget it exists again xD

All of my CV gets multed to sequential switches matrixes No matter what so I can use switched versions of it whenever i want with turing machine logical outputs driving the switching This is new concept to me, sounds amazing. What switches do you use? Would love to understand the ...

Re: DivKid RND STEP

Hey all, So I performed some tests using my Rigol O'Scope and compared them to the Mordax data. First, I highly recommend not using the voltage monitor to measure the output. The noise transients are very quick and the voltage monitor does not have that kind of bandwidth and will alias out everythi...

Re: DivKid RND STEP

Making it louder will keep the even-ness of the distribution but the range will be a bit wider and may include some levels beyond +/-5V at times. I did a little playing with the adjustments of Rnd Step. I'm guessing from what I noticed is that when the potentiometers are fully clockwise, it's all t...

Re: DivKid RND STEP

Have you measured and confirmed that you are even getting the 2.5v range? There was a user on FB who was getting much less than expected voltage and it turned out their module needed calibration. SSF helped them out with instructions. I checked mine on the Mordax Data's voltage monitor. The bipolar...

Re: DivKid RND STEP

Does anyone else feel the 2.5v pink noise source just doesn't offer enough range? Seems it would have been wise to make it at LEAST 5v or even 8v. Many of the parameters i want to modulate on other modules just dont get anywhere even with the rndstep full blast into their cv inputs ..

Re: Strymon is making a Magneto module!

Curious you guys - how do you go about getting very fast delay times when the knob only acts as up to a 2x multiplier of the master time set by TAP? For example if I want 30ms delay times, do I have to use an external clock or oscillator into the clock input and use that to set the initial delay tim...

Re: Best BBD modules? / MF-104m users?

Personally i never was too hot on the moogerfooger sound and was happy to sell my 104M and 104Z to replace with other BBDs (blacet time machine, etc) even before the spike in price. The fact that you could sell a 104M to buy a space echo these days is just a no brainer to me.

Re: Best MS20 style filter for Eurorack?

It's not all that new, but Bubblesound Dual SeM20 is excellent. I would second the Bubblesound Dual SeM20. Great sound, interesting self-oscillation. In "Dual" mode, it's a great stereo filter. You can usually find them for about $250 used. Does it make some digital noises like most of ms20 filter ...

Go for sputnik quad function/trig gen or synthrotek quadrangle. Both are frequently sold for $200-250 and cover all your needs

Cwejman's dual ADSR or the L-1 clone-ish one

Four ADSRs with knobs, voltage control over each stage and ins/outs would be enormous panel space requires.

Re: Xaoc Zadar, Quadruple Envelope Generator + Nin expander

Very cool. My only desire would be a mode to sync the enveope length to clock input as a clock mode rather than retrig. Then the rhythmic elements of the shape would fall in sync. This doesn't already exist does it?

I just got mine and am utterly blown away by this thing. Absolutely in love! I see how the looping chains work .. is there any way to just set a channel to loop infinitely in free running behavior without triggers though like an LFO? I dont see anything like this in the manual

Went through all this myself a couple of months ago. After weeks of cautiously fiddling with B, a hair this way and that, all the while measuring the negative voltage off that one point on the PCB specified on the Ken Stone/Elby pages, it finally worked at the maximum possible setting! And yes: wha...
