Does anyone have an example of pinging this phasers? Like just running a click into the audio input? Does it ring out? Here's an example... A Rene sequence into 1V/octave input and the gates into the audio input. Changing the Feedback setting to show the effect that has. https://soundcloud.com/mich...

Hey! 2. I also can't get midi to work. I tried the midi out from the arturia keystep but haven't had luck yet. Regarding this question, are you sure? I also thought my midi didn’t work, but I was switching between CV and midi using the Keystep. The problem I had was that those two outputs were offs...

Re: Tuning and calibration

For the tuning, play some octave on the CV. Listen to just OSC1 and make sure you hear a real octave between the 2 notes while you tweak scale 1. Then same for OSC2. Once that is done, I matched OSC1 and OSC2 together with the tune 2 (with the "vco2" slider at middle on the panel). For the click yo...

Re: Tuning and calibration

Edit - problem found - bad solder joint

[midi also not working... but I haven’t really looked at that properly, also because I’m unlikely to use that often)

Still waiting for my kit to arrive - was wondering about the following though Does anyone know how easy (or possible) it is to replace the supplied jacks and pots in this kit with ones that can be attached to the front panel? Pretty difficult I’d say. Have a look at the build doc, the jacks have an...

Tuning and calibration

Any tips on how to do the tuning and calibration - and what to look out for? The (otherwise good) documentation is rather short on details there. What is the best way to set the Scale and Tune trimmers, in particular. I'm finding it difficult to hear much of a difference for the VCA click settings. ...

I built a Skorn da Bask from one of the Thonk kits last month. Also had some problems with it, that turned out to be a bad solder joint of one of the 1N4004 diodes. These are both close to the power header, so worth checking out. It is a pretty dense build, so make sure that the housings of the jack...

Take a look at TouellSkouarn’s Skorn da Bask . It is a bit like the Benjolin. You can create rhythms, drones through the combination of 3 oscillators/LFOs. As with other TouellSkouarn stuff, it isn’t clean, but I love it. Not many videos out there. It is also available as a kit from the amazing Thon...

There were a lot of new sequencers on show at Superbooth, so you may be right this wasn't the best time to launch it. But I'm surprised no one responded to your April 4th announcement. Threads without a single response are pretty rare. Can't imagine why that happened, other than the fact that you di...

How much is it? :hmm: There appears to be one for sale for $215 on ModularGrid - but the same page lists it as discontinued. Sounds quite interesting and probably deserves more attention than the 4 posts it has so far received. Wonder what's happening, whether it will be (more widely) available. Th...

Interested, What is the advantage to this over the ladik 215 i was looking at recently... if youre using a different drum machine? Thank you The other big difference is the ability to set the individual midi note numbers, not just the channels as is the case for the ladik 215 and 216. So for drum m...

This looks really cool. I've been looking for a way to let an MI Grids trigger the drum sounds on my MFB Tanzbär which only has midi in. I'd already looked at the Ladik M-215 and 216, but these didn't quite do what I needed. This is more like it. I gather from the description on the Ladik page that ...

Penrose voltage offset

Penrose has been difficult for a while now. It consistently shows an offset of ~1.3V at the output, compared with the input. I check input and output voltages with the two channels of my O'Tool. With all steps on the quantizer enabled the output voltage is 1.3V above the input. Really annoying... I'...

Cool - keen to try it out, but need a PICkit3 first. First time hacking firmware, so a little outside my comfort zone and confused by the download instructions. If I click on the links you provide (for the Mk1 in my case), then download that folder, I get a disNdat_mk1.X.prebuilt.X-20170221T000735Z....
